Who We Are

Making the decision to pursue therapy is not an easy one and I want to honor the vulnerability it takes to share your life with a therapist. I strive to build a genuine, non-judgmental connection with my clients to validate their life experiences and create a safe space where you can begin a journey of self-discovery. This may take time and is not always easy, but I want to collaborate with you every step of the way to ensure that we are working together in a way that best supports you. My work with clients can help to build a bridge between the past and future. I believe it is important to understand ourselves holistically from the individual systems in which we grew up and currently exist, as well as the larger systemic factors that are and have impacted our lives.

I have extensive training in mindfulness which I bring into sessions in different ways to help bring patterns into awareness to enable change. I utilize an integrated approach to therapy which means I customize my approach based on the symptoms and goals of my clients. Some of the approaches I may draw from include psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy, behavior and solution-focused work, mindfulness and meditation. I also strive to provide an overall trauma-informed approach that is inclusive of all identities.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I have worked with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief, family/relationship challenges, physical health concerns and other life stressors.
