Jennifer Klein, NBC-HWC, MA candidate
I have always had a passion for trying to understand what drives human behavior. While that interest initially led me to pursue a different career, I am finally pursuing what I believe to be a life-long calling to become a counselor. Finding the courage to make this leap was only possible after pursuing my own journey in therapy.
That journey initially had many dark moments as I worked through painful aspects of my past, but the hard work paid off and my life was changed for the better in so many ways. Because of that process, I know that there’s always hope, and change is possible. I now want to help others work through issues that may come up along their life journey. I believe that you are the expert on you and your life. I am here to listen and help guide you in building resilience and finding ways to thrive in your life.
Another core aspect of my approach is that I have a holistic view to health, which includes the mind-body connection, also referred to as links between physical and mental health. In my work as an integrative health coach, I have helped clients assess their health on several dimensions and explore their vision of optimal health. We collaborate on setting goals and action steps to address gaps in where they are now to where they want to be. I help clients assess progress on their goals and find ways to anticipate and overcome barriers. Mindfulness is at the center of my integrative health coaching process as you have to be aware of something before you can change it.
